Introduction of Horizontal Tensile Testing MachineModel No. QHTTM-3M-300- General description
This equipment is designed to perform mechanical property tests of various types of electrical insulators, steel wires, cables, conductors, chains, electrical devices, and insulating materials, it's also available for mechanical property tensile tests on other specimen with long shape.The main machine of the equipment is of horizontal structure, which makes sample assembling and disassembling easy. The equipment consists of main machine, Servo loading system (servo motor and lead screw) and computer data processing system. Application of computer technology makes test procedure simple and test data accurate, and it has functions of data processing, automatic curve drawing, storage and printing. As high precision ratio control valve is adopted for servo loading system to closely track and regulate the loading system, the equipment can perform continuous test. Users could automatically make tests with preset loading requirements by only plating samples on the equipment. The equipment has functions for force testing, loading speed automatic tracking and measurement of loading speed and peak value protection. During test, it has functions of overloading protection and displacement protection, test data can be automatically stored and test report can be printed. This equipment can be used for mechanical property test and analysis of insulators for manufacturers and testing institutions. - Major characteristics
- Movable short tail structure and automatic latch are adopted for the main machine and no long rod is needed, which makes sample assembling easy.

- Composition of the equipment
The equipment consists of three parts: main machine, Servo loading system and operating panel. Reference drawing- Main machine
The main machine is horizontal type consisting of head holder, tail stock and middle machine frame, which are all welded by structural carbon steel and machined after stress relief annealing. Both sides of the machine frame are covered with gusset plates and the top is covered with stainless steel sheet. Tensile stroke: 0 to 6m, adjustable. Middle part is a railway of 300mm,which enables the tail stock to move along with self-lock function. The load sensor (German product), oil cylinder and displacement measuring device are all located on the head holder.- Servo loading system
Servo motor provides all power for the device by driving lead screw with high precision. Settings can be adjusted via relevant computer. Servo motor is from Japanese brand Mitsubishi.- Operating platform
Operating platform, consisting of power system and control system, is the control center of the whole equipment which both provides power for the equipment and controls the tension process. High speed data collection boards are set in the computer, which may display real-time tension curve, working statues and alarming signals.- Main parameters

- During tension, loading speed can be set freely according to test requirements, and pressure retaining time can be set freely during test.
- The equipment can record and restore test data and can display peak load on computer screen.
- Computer software controlled, very easy to operate. Separate manually controlled test is possible.
- Metrology and calibration can be done easily. Meters and sensors can be disassembled for separate calibration. As computer reads digit data from meters directly, there is no error which might occur during a second time conversion.
- It has stroke measurement function. Rotary encoder is used to measure tension stroke with measurement accuracy of 0.1 mm
- Protection cover is made of stainless steel and air supporting structure is applied, which has good appearance and provides easy operation.

- It has load and displacement measurement system and its computer controlled program can automatically track and measure force and displacement, and at the same time, display real time values and curves of loads and displacements.

- Constant tension load up to 96 hours is available.
- Load retention is no less than 96 hours.
- A hydraulic lock is provided at the loading circuit of hydraulic system of the equipment. Oil pumper automatically close when pressure reaches the preset load and restart if the load falls below requirement, which saves the energy. Time of retaining can be freely set during 96 hours.
- Quick and accurate calibration of displacement and tensile force can be performed easily.
- Test date can be freely stored and recalled. Re-analysis on data and curve including data zoom in and data re-editing are possible.
- The control software of the equipment has powerful database function, which can automatically record data (test date, test time, preset test parameters, peak load value and test result. Structure of the database can be set according to user's requirement
